Food safety,
finally for everyone

India produces the most milk in the world — yet millions of families consume adulterated milk every day without knowing it. We exist to change that, one family at a time.

The Problem We're Solving

Urea in milk. Detergent in butter. Synthetic milk in rural supply chains. These aren't rare incidents — they're a daily reality for millions of Indians. GFI exists to build awareness, access, and accountability in India's food system.

Common adulterants
hiding in your milk

From urea to formalin — these are the most common adulterants FSSAI has documented in Indian milk, and what they do to your body.

Urea

Raises apparent protein content. Causes kidney damage, gastritis and long-term organ failure.

Detergent

Used to emulsify synthetic milk. Causes GI damage, hormonal disruption and renal toxicity.

Formalin

Extends shelf life. An IARC Group 1 carcinogen linked to liver damage and GI corrosion.

Starch

Masks watering by thickening milk. Causes diarrhoea, especially harmful for diabetics.

Hydrogen Peroxide

Used as a preservative. Damages the stomach lining and causes oxidative cellular damage.

Neutralizers

Sodium carbonate / NaOH mask acidity. Destroy B vitamins and cause hypertension.

Melamine

Falsely inflates protein readings. Causes kidney stones and renal failure — the 2008 China scandal.

Synthetic Milk

A fabricated emulsion of water, oil, urea & detergent. Combines every harm above.

Built on
trust & science

Everything we publish, test, and ship is grounded in verified science — aligned with FSSAI, NDRI, and peer-reviewed research.

FSSAI-Aligned Protocols

Every test in our kit follows FSSAI DART and NDRI laboratory manual standards — the same methods used by food safety officers.

NABL Partner Labs

Professional lab tests are conducted through NABL-accredited partner laboratories — not third-party aggregators. Results you can trust legally.

Community First

KYF knowledge is and always will be free. Our revenue from GoodFoodLabs funds the awareness mission — not shareholders.
